THE CHALLENGE
Dawn raids are unexpected or unannounced inspection of a company's premises by regulatory or law enforcement authorities. Working with top counsel and the Director of Communications, I wrote, created and narrated a 7 minute video instructing employees on how to conduct themselves if such an inspection should occur.

STRATEGY AND CRAFT
The project kicked off with only a high-level creative brief outlining the essential legal information and target audiences. To build a cohesive, empathetic narrative, I mapped out the distinct roles employees play during an active inspection, from executives to reception, and tailored the messaging to each unique journey.
Using a trusted, authoritative, yet reassuring voice and tone, I developed a script built around easy-to-recognize animated characters. I broke complex legal directives into digestible guidelines using clear, actionable on-screen text, ensuring users retention.

PRODUCT IMPACT
The video has been fully integrated into the onboarding process for all new employees within the legal department and adjacent front-line staff. By transforming a static, one-page brief into a dynamic, visually striking video, engagement for a critical training was significantly elevated.

TAKEAWAYS
When writing legal content, there are no compromises on accuracy. Success relies on cross-functional collaboration to ensure the product adheres strictly to legal guidelines while remaining highly accessible to the user.
